A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON COMMENDING
DAN WATROUS ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE TOWN OF
TIBURON
WHEREAS, on December 7, 2016, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 31-2016, commending
Planning Manager Dan Watrous on his 20°i anniversary of employment with the Town of Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, Dan has now chosen to retire after a stellar 21-year career with the Town; and
WHEREAS, Dan Watrous has served four Town Managers, fifteen different Mayors, and uncounted
members of the Town Council, Planning Commission, Design Review Board, Parks and Open Space
Commission, and Heritage&Arts Commission, and has served each of these public boards with the
utmost professionalism, knowledge, dedication, ethics, and good humor; and
WHEREAS, Dan has also been a pillar of stability and a cheerleader around Town Hall, as well as a
fabulous ode-writer to many who have left the Town's employment before him; and
WHEREAS, through the diligent performance of his duties over these many years, Dan has left an
indelibly visible and positive aesthetic mark on the Tiburon peninsula, upon which he can look back with
great pride and a sense of accomplishment whenever visiting our fine community; and
WHEREAS, Dan has superbly accomplished all these things with great humor and strength of character,
through changing times and challenging circumstances, and has been a cherished
co-worker, helper, inspirer,problem-solver, and trainer of new employees extraordmaire: and
WHEREAS, Dan's authoritative presence, deep-throated voice, command of knowledge and trivia, and
clarity of thought and expression will be sorely missed by all those at Town Hall.
Now THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon, on behalf of all
our citizens does hereby commend, congratulate and sincerely thank and applaud Dan Watrous for more
than 21 years of dedicated and exceptional service to the Town of Tiburon on the occasion of his
retirement and the capping of his distinguished career, and wishes him a joyous and healthy retirement
full of world travel with his beloved wife Donna.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Council, on March 21, 2018, by the following
vote:
