RES OLUTION NO. 120
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
MAKING APPLICATION TO THE lvIARIN COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF UNINCORPO-
RATED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiburon desires to
initiate proceedings for the annexation to said City of the unincor-
porated territory hereinafter described;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tiburon DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make ap-
plication to the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
Marin for the annexation of the hereinafter described unincorporated
territory to the City of Tiburon.
(a). This proposal is made pursuant to the Knox-Nisbet
Ace of 1965, commencing with Section 54773, Government Code, and ap-
propriate sections of Title 4, Division 2, Part 2, of the Government
Code relating to Annexation of Territory, commencing with Section
35000, and appropriate sections of the District Reorganization Act of
1965~ commencing with Section 5600, Government Code.
(b). The proposed annexation of unincorporated territory
to the City of Tiburon does not include any proposals for changes of
organization in any districts or other cities.
(c). The names of other affected counties, cities and
districts, are:
The County of Marin
The City of Corte Madera
Tiburon Fire Protection District
Alto Richardson Bay Fire Protection District
Tiburon Sanitary District No. 5
Richardson Bay Sanitary District
Sanitary District No.2
Richardson Bay Flood Control District
Bel Aire Flood Control District
Strawberry Recreation District
Marin County Mosquito Abatement District
Marin General Hospital District
Bel Aire Lighting District
Bay View Lighting District
Strawberry Lighting District
(d). The territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited.
A description of the exterior boundaries of such territory shall be as
set forth in the adopted statement of the sphere of interest as more
fully set forth in Resolution No. 56 of this City Council heretofore
adopted, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incor-
porated herein by reference. A further description of the boundaries
of such territory by metes and bounds and a map showing said boun-
daries are attached hereto as Exhibits Band C, and incorporated
herein by reference.
(e). The reasons for this proposal are as follows: The
reason for said annexation shall be as set forth in the aforesaid
Resolution No. 56, together with such other material as the City
Manager shall set forth in supplemental exhibits consistent with the
spirit of the aforesaid Resolution No. 56.

Section 2. The City Manager of the City of Tiburon is hereby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution
with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission
of the County of Marin, together with all appropriate exhibits and
maps.

City of Tiburon held on 31 August , 1966, by the following
