HomeMy WebLinkAboutTC Res 1966-01-09 RESOLUTION NO. 135 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TIBURON ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, Williams, Cook & Mocine, Regional City Planners, have pre- pared and submitted to the City of Tiburon, pursuant to contract, a proposed amendment to the 1956 Tiburon Peninsula Master Plan in the form and title of "Tiburon, California, Sketch Plan 1990"; and WHEREAS, Planning Commission Resolution No. 14, as adopted by the Planning Commission on November 7, 1966, set forth the adoption of said plan by the Planning Commission as the General Plan for the City of Tiburon, and transmitted said Plan to the City Council for consideration; and WHEREAS, public hearings were held pursuant ~o law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Tiburon does hereby adopt as the General Plan of the City of Tiburon the said "Tiburon, California, Sketch Plan 1990" as set forth and recommended in Plartning Commission Resolution No. 1/1<, and the minutes of the Planning Commission of June 20, and July 11, 1966, and the Mayor of the City of Tiburon is authorized to sign a copy of said Plan certifying the Council's approval, with the following exceptions: There shall be deleted from said Plan all references to the areas known as "Downtown" and "Central Tiburon, from Corinthian Island to Mar West", which said areas are outlined in red on that cer- tain drawing entitled, "Sketch Plan 1990", and which said areas are being considered under a separate study. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this Resolution and the said Plan be sent to the Marin County Planning Commission pursuant to Section 65360 of the Government Code of the State of California.
