RESOLUTION NO. 165
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES ON SECURED AND UNSECURED PROPERTY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1967-1968,
WHEP~AS, the eity Council of the City of Tiburon did, on
30 August,
1967 adopt a municipal budget providing for revenues to be raised for the cur-
rent fiscal year, in part from a tax upon secured and unsecured property, and;
WHEP~AS, said budget requires that the Sum of $ 79,900
be raised by said tax upon property for general fund expenses, and;
WHEP~AS, said budget requires that the sum of $ 22,100
be
raised by said tax upon property for capital improvement expenses, and;
~rnEREAS it appears that a tax of forty-seven (.470) cents per each
one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of said property as it appears on
the current assessment roll will provide the required revenue for general fund
expenses, and;
vnf&REAS it appears that a tax of thirteen (.130)
cents per each
one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of said property as it appears on
the current assessment roll will provide the required revenue for capital
improvement expenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOT-!S:
THAT the tax rate for the fiscal year 1967-l968 upon secured and
unsecured property within the City of Tiburon should be and is hereby fixed
at
forty-seven (.470)
cents upon each one hundred dollars of assessed
valuation, and thirteen (.130)
cents upon each said one hundred dollars
of assessed valuation, to a total of sixty (.600) cents per each one hundred
dollars of said assessed valuation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at an adjourned meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tiburon held on August 30
