A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TIBURON RECOMMENDING A JOINT STUDY OF
REVISIONS TO THE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
REVIEW BOARD
WHEREAS, the Town Council is concerned that the
Residential Development Review Board Ordinance, Joint
Powers Agreement and Criteria contains serious defects and
inequities; and
WHEREAS, the Residential Development Review process
may impose goals and policies of the County and other
jurisdictions upon the Town of Tiburon that may seriously
conflict in certain instances with the specific goals, policies
and the General Plan of the Town of Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, The quotas thus far set by the Residential
Development Review process have exceeded the number of applications.
Nevertheless, the development review process as exercised by
individual jurisdictions and by the LAFCo process has on the
whole worked well, without the imposition of another layer of
review; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Tiburon does wish to cooperate and
coordinate with the County and with other jurisdictions to attain
reasonable planning goals for the region,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
1. That each jurisdiction designate one or two representatives
to convene with the representatives of the other
jurisdictions to discuss revisions to the Residential
Review process, and to formulate joint recommendations;
2. That if the joint Residential Review process is not
revised to the satisfaction of the Town Council, the
Town will serve written notice no later than 31 days
prior to the annual renewal date of April 27, 1981,
of its intention not to renew.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the Town Council of the Town
of Tiburon at a regular meeting on October 1 , 1980
by the following vote:
