RESOLUTION NO. 682
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
REQUESTING FROM THE COUNC IL ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS
A ONE YEAR EXTENSION FOR THE DEADLINE DATES FOR MANDATORY
ELEMENTS OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon, Department of Community Development
is currently involved in an ongoing General Plan Program to prepare the required
Seismic Safety, Noise, Scenic Highway and Safety Elements for the Tiburon General
Plan, and
WHEREAS: in the past year the position of Director of Community
Development has been vacant for five (5) months and staff has been reassigned
to assist in the coordination of a large scale downtown development proposal
and its Environmental TImpact Report, and
WHEREAS: insufficient amount of funds have been budgeted in past
years for the preparation of the General Plan and the 1974-75 Fiscal Budget
for the City of Tiburon specifically provides funds for the preparation of the
General Plan, and
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon has entered into an agreement with
the County of Marin to develop the background information to prepare the Noise
Element of the Tiburon General Plan, and
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon will be jointly involved with the
County of Marin in the Spring of 1975 to develop a geological study to assist
in preparation of Seismic Safety Element of the Tiburon General Plan, and
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon has recently acquired the necessary
staff to provide professional services for the preparation of the required General
Plan Elements.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Tiburon requests from the Council on Intergovernmental Relations a one (1)
year extension of the deadline dates for Seismic Safety, Noise, Scenic Highways,
and Safety Elements for the Tiburon General Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tiburon, held on the
October 15
