HomeMy WebLinkAboutTC Res 1974-09-23 (3) RESOLUTION NO. 678 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON APPROVING THE THREE YEAR FEDERAL-AID URBAN PROGRAM RECOMMENDED BY THE MARIN COUNTY URBAN SELECTION COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City of Tiburon desires to participate in the Federal-Aid Urban Program for funding approved roadway and transportation projects as authorized by the Federal Highway Act of 1973, and; WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act requires that a three year program of projects approved for Federal-Aid Urban funding, be established by a county-wide committee which consists of representatives from each city, the county, transit district, CAL/TRANS, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and WHEREAS, this Committee has been formed and approved by the Marin County Board of Supervisors and is named the Marin County Urban Selection Committee, and WHEREAS, said Committee has met and has selected a three year program of projects it considers eligible for Federal-Aid Urban fund, and WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban Selection Committee's three year program must have approval from a majority of the cities in the County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tiburon does hereby approve the three year program recommended by the Marin County Urban Selection Committee as follows: Priority No. Sponsor Project Estimated F.A.U. Funding 1. City of San Rafael Fourth Street- Miracle Mile Reconstruction Project (Marquard to westerly City limits) $ 622,500 2. Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Trans- portation District Manzanita Bus Station and Transfer Facility (Highway 101 Inter~ change) $ 166,000 Priority No. Sponsor Project Estimated F. A. U. Funding 3. CAL/TRANS- San Rafael San Pedro Road Interchange - Southbound on-ramp $ 300,000 4. CAL/TRANS- Tiburon Reed Ranch Road to Pine Terrace in Tiburon $ 790,000 5. Marin County North San Pedro Rd. from Civic Center to La Pasada $ 830,000 6. CAL/TRANS- San Rafael Modify Lucas Valley Road interchange (State construction) $ 395,000 TOTAL $3,103,500 and recommends that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin, the California Department of Transportation, the Golden Gate Transit District, the Marin County Transit District, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission also approve this program as the official Federal-Aid Urban System Program for Marin County.
