Home My WebLink AboutTC Res 1974-08-26 (5) RESOLUTION NO. 667 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON ESTABLISHING THE TIBURON ADVISORY LANDMARKS COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 129 N.S. of the City of Tiburon adopted July 23, 1973 provides for the preservation of historical landmarks and the establishment of an Advisory Landmarks Committee, and WHEREAS, the Belvedere/Tiburon Landmarks Society subsequently proposed the names of Tiburon residents for selection to the Committee, and WHEREAS, the City Council in November 1973 acknowledged the appointment of certain Tiburon residents to the Advisory Landmarks Committee, and WHEREAS, this Committee has been actively meeting and functioning as the Tiburon Advisory Landmarks Committee NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tiburon in accordance with Ordinance No. 129 N.S. does hereby officially recognize and confirm the appointment of the following individuals to the Tiburon Advisory Landmarks Committee, retroactive to January 1, 1974 and whose terms are specifically stated adjacent to each name: Gordon Strawbridge - (January 1974 to January 1977) Eugenia Marans - (January 1974 to January 1977) John Berryman - (January 1974 to January 1977) Louise Teather - (January 1974 to January 1976) Orton Buckner - (January 1974 to January 1976) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tiburon Advisory Landmarks Committee shall consider the preservation and protection of those places, sites, buildings, structures, work of art and other objects having a special historical, cultural or aesthetic character or interest for the use, education and.view of the general public; and such Committee shall be provided the necessary assistance by the City Manager and City staff to properly perform these functions.
