RESOLUTION NO. 664
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
PROVIDING GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES FOR IMPLEMENTATION
OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT OF 1970 AND
REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 521 AND 601
WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
requires an Environmental Impact Report for projects which may
have a significant effect on the environment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council by prior Resolutions Nos. 521
and 601 adopted certain guidelines and procedures for the
implementation of the CEQA, and
WHEREAS, the Secretary for Resources of the California
Resources Agency has promulgated guidelines for implementation
of the CEQA, as amended, on December 17, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the guidelines and procedures of the City of
Tiburon must be brought into conformity with the amended State
guidelines by February 15, 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolutions Nos. 521
and 601 are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED as follows:
The Tiburon City Council adopts the following guidelines
and procedures as amended in Exhibits B, C & D. These guidelines
and procedures shall be interpreted in a manner which will enhance
the environmental consideration of the projects to which they
apply. Nothing herein is intended to foreclose or unnecessarily
formalize preliminary submission and evaluation of environmental
data prior to submission of actual project applications, in order
to allow such data to be considered in the design and formulation
of projects.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tiburon held on August 12, 1974, by the following
vote:
