RESOLUTION NO. 656
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TIBURON EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE
TIBURON ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE - JUNE 1974
WHEREAS, One hundred years ago, in the year 1874, the
first school was established on the Tiburon Peninsula, ninety
years ago, in the year 1884, the railroad town of Tiburon was
established and ten years ago, in the year 1964, the City of
Tiburon was incorporated, and
WHEREAS, the City Council proclaimed the month of June
in the year 1974 to be Tiburon Anniversary Month, and
WHEREAS, the Tiburon Anniversary Committee was formed
to organize and coordinate the celebration activities in
observance of the triple anniversary,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Tiburon does hereby publicly commend and
express its sincere appreciation to the Tiburon Anniversary
Committee for an outstanding performance, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Tiburon, on behalf of its citizens, extends its
congratulations to the members of the Tiburon Anniversary
Committee for a most memorable triple anniversary occasion.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tiburon held on July 22, 1974, by
the following vote:
