RESOLUTION NO. 655
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON RECOGNIZING THE TIBURON POLICE OFFICERS'
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, Chapter 10, Division 4, Title 1 of the Government Code of
the State of california provides for the establishment of uniform and
orderly methods of communication between employees and the public agencies
by which they are employed; and
WHEREAS, it further provides for the recognition by the public agency
of an organization that represents the employees in promoting improved
employer-employee relations; and
WHEREAS, the Tiburon Police Officers' Association was formed January of
1973, by unanimous vote of the employees of the Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Tha t the TIBURON POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION is the recognized
employee organization of the Police Department of the City of Tiburon as
representing the majority of the employees of this Department and as such,
a duly authorized representative to meet and confer in good faith regar-
ding the matters of employee welfare, including wages and other terms
and conditions of employment subject to subsequent compliance with such
future resolutions providing procedures for the administration of employer-
employee relations as the Council may adopt.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tiburon held on July 22, 1974 by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Aramburu, Ellman, Littman, Ross
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Tayer
