RESOLUTION NO.~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON RECOG-
NIZING THE JOINING OF THE TIBURON MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES TO
THE ~RIN ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES (~PE)
WHEREAS, Chapter 10, Division 4, Title 1 of the Government Code of the
State of California provides for the establishment of uniform and orderly
methods of communication between employees and the public agencies by which
they are employed; and
WHEREAS, it further provides for the recognition by the public agency of
an organization that represents the employees in promoting improved employer-
employee relations; and
WHEREAS, the Tiburon Miscellaneous Employees have elected to join the
Marin Association of Public Employees (~PE), dissolving the Tiburon Employees'
Associa tion,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
That the ~RIN ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES is the recognized employee
organization of the City of Tiburon as representing the majority of the miscella-
neous employees of this City, and as such, a duly authorized representative to
meet and confer in good faith regarding the matters of employee welfare, inclu-
ding wages and other terms and conditions of employment subject to subsequent
compliance with such future resolutions providing procedures for the administra-
tion of employer-employee relations as the Council may adopt.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Tiburon held on
July 22nd
, 1974, by the following vote:
