RESOLillION NO. 620
A RESOLillION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON EN-
DORS ING THE PROPOSED REZONING OF OPEN SPACE AREAS ON THE
EASTERN EXTREMITY OF THE TIBURON PENINSULA AS PROVIDED IN
TITLE 22 (ZONING) OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN
WHEREAS: said properties are considered to be of prilne open space
interest in the Marin Countywide Plan, and
WHEREAS: these properties fall within the Tiburon sphere of influence
as determined by the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), and
WHEREAS: These eastern slopes are one of the last remaining areas
of great natural beauty on the Tiburon Peninsula, and
WHEREAS: these Open Space areas are inadequate to support develop-
ment of higher density.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of
Tiburon strongly endorses the action of the Marin County Planning Commission
in reduci.ng the density of said properties, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that this City Council has appointed a
citizens committee to study and review the proposed rezoning and make
recommendations to the Tiburon City Council and the Marin County Board of
Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tiburon on April 22, 1974, by the following vote:
