A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
PROCIAIMING '!HE MONTH OF ~RCH, 1974 AS YOUTH ART MON'nI
WHEREAS, childhood is the time to develop interests, skills and
aptitudes that will last a lifetiffie, and
WHEREAS, through c9aningful art activities, children develop
initiative, self-expression, creative ability, self-evaluation, discipline,
and a heightened appreciation of beauty, and
WHEREAS, the importance of art in education and in recreation
is properly widely recognized,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Tiburon do hereby proclaim March, 1974 as
YOUTH ART MONm
and urge all citizens to become interested in, support and encourage the art
programs presented in schools and youth organizations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a City Council meeting of the City of Tiburon
held on March 11, 1974, by the fol~owing vote:
Councilnen:
A YES: Araobhru, Fanning, Littman, Sennett
NOES: Becker
ABSENT: None
