RESOLUTION NO.~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF TIBURON
ENDORSING AND URGING ACCEPTANCE OF THE STUDY REPORT AND
PIAN OF THE RING MOUN'D\IN CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS: The Marin County Planning Commission on January 14, 1974
has approved modifications to the County General Plan which incorporates the
Plan and Study Report of the Ring Mountain Citize~e' Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the Ring MOuntain Study Area covered by that
Plan and Study Report falls within the City of Tiburon, and a greater portion
of unincorporated land falls within Tiburon's assigned "Sphere of Influence";
and
WHEREAS, it is in the interests of both Tiburon and of the other
affected jurisdictions that development of the entire Ring Mountain Study
Area be coordinated in a manner consonant with the foregoing Study Report and
Plan;
NOW, TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The City Council endorses the Study Report and the Plan of the
Ring Mountain Citizens' Advisory Committee;
2. The City Council directs the Tiburon Planning Commission and
staff to initiate such steps as may be appropriate to modify the existing
Tiburon General Plan, including the Open Space Element, so as to assure maxi~
coordination between the Ring Mountain Citizea~' Committee Plan and Study Re-
port, the Tiburon General Plan, and that portion of the County General Plan
as may include the Ring Mountain Study Report, the Tiburon General Plan, and
that portion of the County General Plan as may include the Ring Mountain Study
A rea;
3. The Staff should further report to the City Council and Planning
Commission on what steps are appropriate to insure necessary access through
areas within the City of Tiburon to building sites generally described by the
Study Report and Plan as falling in uninco~porated lands.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tiburon held on February 25, 1974, by the following vote:

Councilmen: Aramburu, Becker, Fanning, Littman, Sennett
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
