RESOLUTION NO. 712
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON GRANTING ITS CONSENT TO THE ABSENCE OF E. BRUCE ROSS.
BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 1062 provides that
no city councilman may absent himself from the State for more
than 60 days unless the City Council grants its consent to such
absence; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 36513 provides that
the office of a councilman becomes vacant if he absents himself
from all regular city council meetings for 60 days, without
permission; and
WHEREAS, City Councilman E. Bruce Ross is presently on
an extended business trip outside the United States which trip
may cause him to be absent for more than 60 days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
hereby grants its permission and consent to E. Bruce Ross for
his absence from the State and from regular city council meet-
ings for any period in excess of that allowed by Government
Code Sections 1062 and 36513.
