HomeMy WebLinkAboutTC Res 2018-09-05 RESOLUTION NO. 38-2018 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO PLAN JPA ON BEHALF OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON Whereas, the Town of Tiburon has been a member of the Association of Bay Area Governments Pooled Liability Assurance Network (ABAG PLAN) since 1986; and WHEREAS, the Association of Bay Area Governments Pooled Liability Assurance Network (ABAG PLAN) Corporation has been replaced by the Pooled Liability Assurance Network Joint Powers Authority (PLAN JPA), effective July 1, 2018; and WHEREAS, PLAN JPA is a self-funded insurance pool servicing public agencies; and WHEREAS the operations of these programs are governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of one staff representative from each member agency; and WHEREAS, participation of the Board of Directors is carried out by Town Staff as part of its regular duties and does not result in any remuneration to the employee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Manager, Greg Chains, be appointed Director and Suzanne Creckmore be appointed Voting Alternate Director.
