A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON
COMMENDING SCOTT ANDERSON ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT
FROM THE TOWN OF TIBURON
WHEREAS, on September 4, 2013, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 37-2013,
commending Planning Manager Scott Anderson on his 25"' anniversary of employment with the
Town of Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, Scott has now chosen to retire after an exemplary 30-year career with the Town; and
WHEREAS, Scott Anderson has been Community Development Director for more than half of the
Town's existence, overseeing development from moratorium to Martha, from Town Hall and
Library to Library once again, through St. Hilary and Kol Shofar and TPC and countless other
major projects in Tiburon, always with a steady hand and providing sage advice and planning
wisdom for the Town; and
WHEREAS, Scott has served four Town Managers, Town Councils both chaotic and cordial, and
attended uncountable meetings of the Planning Commission, Design Review Board, Board of
Adjustment and Review, Parks and Open Space Commission, Parks, Open Space and Trails
Commission, Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the Romberg Center, and has served
each of these public boards with paramount professionalism, expertise, dedication, ethics,
patience and good humor; and
WHEREAS, Scott has become the dean of Planning Directors in Marin County, while running the
Planning and Building Divisions in a manner that provided the community with the highest level
of public services and creating an orderly sense of development that has immensely enhanced the
character of this town that we all love; and
WHEREAS, Scott has also been a conscientious steward of the paths and trails of Tiburon, an
essential key to the establishment of the Tiburon Ridge Trail (just don't tell Sunset magazine), a
subdivision expert extraordinaire and a font of institutional knowledge and history that can never
be properly replaced; and
WHEREAS, Scott has superbly accomplished all these things with intelligence and diligence,
becoming a paragon of stability and a stalwart example of teamwork and leadership, beloved by
his fellow staff and the many residents whose lives he has touched all these years.
Now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon, on
behalf of all our citizens does hereby commend, congratulate and sincerely thank and applaud
Scott Anderson for more than 30 years of dedicated and exceptional service to the Town of
Tiburon on the occasion of his retirement and the capping of his remarkable and distinguished
career, and wishes him a joyous and healthy retirement in Colorado with his beloved wife
Carole.
