RESOLUTION NO. 3410
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNICL OF THE TOWN
OF TffiURON COMMENDING THE TAMALPAIS mGH SCHOOL
STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS
WHEREAS, Tarnalpais High School has always been a leader in Marin County
High School sports, and
WHEREAS, this years Tamalpais High School's Red Tailed Hawks won both the
Marin County Athletic League's Championship and League Play-Offs; achieving an
outstanding season record of33 wins and 2 losses, and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2000 the Tamalpais High School Red Tailed Hawks,
in dramatic fashion, won the California Division IV State Championship game at the
ARCO Arena in Sacramento over the very talented Southern California Champion St.
Bernard of Playa del Ray by a score of61-60.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon does hereby congratulate and commend the Tamalpais High School Red Tailed
Hawks for their outstanding season and ultimate victory in the State Finals to win its first
Division N State Basketball Championship, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
does also recognize and commend the Tamalpais Co-Coaches Michael Evans and Ralph
Wilson for their leadership, dedication and coaching skills associated with the Tamalpais
High School basketball program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
ofTiburon on AprilS, 2000, by the following vote:
