A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF TffiURON ACCEPTING
2001 STREET REHABILITATION PROGRAM
PROJECT NO. 6940-E-OI0l
WHEREAS, Patrick F. Echols, Town Engineer for the 200 I Street Rehabilitation Program
(Project No. 6940-E-OIOl) has stated that, as of May 2002, the contract work was satisfactorily
completed in accordance with the contract specifications awarded on September 19, 2001 to
Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc., San Rafael, CA.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
accepts the contract work as complete, which is more fully described in the aforementioned contract,
located within the offices of the Town of Tiburon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town ofTiburon
on, Wednesday, June 5, 2002, by the following vote:

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON
IN SUPPORT OF THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee has recommended that the
Town of Tiburon endorse the Safe Routes to Schools Program; and
WHEREAS, the Safe Routes to Schools Program would begin in the 2002-2003 school
year; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Tiburon is excited about the potential for this Safe Routes to
Schools Program because, in addition to helping relieve morning traffic, the program would
increase the physical health of children by encouraging walking and biking; and
WHEREAS, existing bicycle lanes, pedestrian paths and sidewalks on the Tiburon
Peninsula would be welI used as school routes through more community education, cooperation,
and promotion.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Tiburon Town Council hereby
supports the Safe Routes to Schools Program.
