BE IT RESOLVEI:� by the Town Coulicil of the To���n of�Tibui-on_ tl�at it is hei�eby �
ordei�ed as lollows:
Section 1. Date of�lection - Offces to be I'illed.
A general i1�wlicipal election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the Town of
Tibtu-ol�, State of California, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. foi� tl�e pui-pose of electin� ti�,�o
Town Councilmembers, the ter�l7s of the incumbents of which are about to expi��e. and
Section 2. Procuring and Filing Nonlination Papei-s.
Nomination papers may be proctu•ed fi•om the Town Clerl< and sl�all be filed ���ith the
"I�own Clerk no later than 5:30 p.m. on the eighty-eigl�th day before the election, or August 7,
2020.
Nomination papeis i17ay not be cii•culated prior to July ]3, 2020 and must be filecl no later
t11an 5:30 P.M. on August 7, 2020. If any one of the inewnbents does not file i�oi- i-e-electioli to
office by August 7, 2020 at 5:30 p.m., the filing period for such office is e�te�Ided until 5:�0 p.m.
on Ailgilst 12, 2020 lor non-incumbent candidates only.
Section 3. Ti�ne When Polls Are Kept Open.
The polls shall be opened at 7:00 A.M. of the day ol�said election and shall be lcept open
tultil 8:00 P.M. in the evening of the same day, when the polls shall be clos�d. subject to the
provisions of�Section 10242 of 1he F,lections Code.
Section 4. Cei-tilication of Vote by Council.
Tl�e Council s11a11 ineet at its usual meeting place o» the first avail�ble date followi��g tlle
canvass of the votc bv the Cotu�ty R��istrar of Voters to certifi� tlle election anci install thc newly
elected ofrcers.
Sectio�l 5. Publishing Notice of Election.
The Town Clerk shall cause to be published in a newspaper o1���e»eral circulation a
Notice of Election ��%hich will incliide the date of election, hours the polls open and close and thc
offices to be filled.
