� � A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF TH� TOWN OI' TIBURON
PROVIDING THAT THE COST OF PRINTING AND HANDLING
THE CANDIDATE'S STAT�M�NT SHALL I3� BORN� BY THE CANDIDATE
AND PAID FOR AT TH� TIME NOMINATION NAPrRS ARE FILED
WH�REAS, Section 13307 of the California Clection Code provides that candidates for
nonpartisan elective office in alry local agency, including any city, county, or district, may
prepare a candidate's staternent of qualifications, which stateii�ent nlay include the name, age
and occupation of the candidate and a brief description o1�no n�oi-e than 200 words of the
ca�ldidate's education and qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the amount for printing 200 words has been estimated by the County of
Marin to be $195.00 for eaeh typed candidate's statement of c�ualifications in the November 3,
2020 election; and $490.00 for the Ei�glish and Spanish candidate's statement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that in the event a candidate wishes to avail
himself/herself of the right to prepare a candidate's statement of c�ualifications, that the cost of
printing will be borne by the candidate aild not by the To��n of Tiburon;
BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED that the estimated cost of$195.00 (or $490.00) foi•
printing candidate's statements of qualifications shall be paid for in advance by the cai7didate at
tl�e time Nomination Papers are fled with the Town Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of tl�e Town Council of the Town of �
Tiburon on June 17, 2020, by the lollowing vote:
