A R�SOLUTION OF TH� TOWN COUNCIL OF T'H�
TOWN OF TIBURON AUTHORIZING APPLICATION I'OR, AND REC�IPT' OF,
LOCAL GOVI'RNM�NT PLANNING SUPPORT GRANT PROGI2AlVI FUNDS
WHEREAS,pursuant to Health and Safety Code 50515 et. Seq,the Department of Housing
and Con�munity Development(Department)is autl�orized to issue a Notice of I'unding Availability
(NOFA) as part of the Local Government Planning Support Gi•ants Progi•am (hereinaftei- i�eferi•ed
to by the Depai-tment as tihe Local Early Action Planning Grants progi-am oi-LEAP); alld
WHEREAS, the Town Cotulcil of the Town of Tiburon desires to subn�it a LEAP grant
� application pacl<age ('Applicatiarl"); 011 the forms provided by the Departil�ent, fol- approva] of
��rant filnding for projects that assist in the prepai•ation and adoption of planning doctu��ents and
process improveinents that accelerate housing production and facilitate co�npliance to implement
the sixth cycle of the regional housing need assessnlent;
WH�REAS. the Department has issued a NOFA and Applicatioi� on Januai-y 27. 2020 in
the amount of$119,0�0,000 for assistance to all Califoi•ilia Jurisdictions;Now,tl�erefore, the Town
oi�Tiburon "l�own Council of the Town of Tiburon ("Applicallt") resolves as follows:
SECTION l. Tl�e Town Managez• is l�ereby authorized and dil•ected to apply for and submit to the
Department the Application package.
S�CTION 2. In connection with the LEAP grant,if the Application is approved by tl�e Departinent,
tl�e Town Manaber ol the Town of Tiburon is authorized to submit the A�plication, entei• into,
cxecute. ancl deliver on behalf of the Applicant, a State of California A�reement (Standard
Agreement) for the amount of $65,000 and any and all other documents required or deemed
necess�iy or appropriate to evidence and secure the I.,E�P grant, the Applicant's obligations
i-elated thereto, and all anlendments thereto; and
SEC�I,ION 3. T11e Applicant shall be subject to the tel•ms and conditions as specified iil the NOFA,
and the Standai-d A�re�ment provided by the Department after approval. 1"l�e Application and any
and al] accoinpanyin� docuinents are incoiporated in full as part of the Standard Abreement. �ny
and all activities fiindcd, inforination provided, and tinlelines represented in the Application will
be enl�orccable throu��h the fi�lly executed Standard Agreement. Pursuant to tl�e NOFA �nd in
conjunction witli the t�rins of the Standard Agreelnent; the Applicant herebv abrees to use tlle
f�li�ds for eli��ible tises and allowable eapenditures in tl�e man»ei- pi-esented and specifically
identified in the appro�ed Application.
