The measure includes funcling for the T�1M Safe Pathways to Schools Progra»� which funds constructio�� projects that mal:e the con�mute to school safer. Fundinb i��ay eover enbineerin��and construction of path���ay, sidc��-alk. and street cro�sing satety ii��provements. The progi-am eo��sists of t���o cate�7ories of pi�ojects: large projects ($400,000 i��aximum fundinb request) antl small projects ($50.000 maximum fundii��� reque�t). In June 2019 'I�AM issued Measure nA Sate Path�vays to Schools �1-ant f�u�ding call for projects. �l�he Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S) Tasl< Force has identified Del Mar Middle School as their�#I Priority i-o�- improvements that mal<e tl�e commutc to school safer. It provides additional funds for roadway maintenance. In the upcomii�g Fiscal Year 2020-21 the predicted revenue to the To�-�n is estimated at $176;819. These fiinds are �nticipated to be allocated b}� the State in equal montl�l}� payments. One of the reporting require���ents is for the Towi� Council to pass and adopt a Resolution on a �-ecuri-in�� annlial basis tl�at aliocates e�penditure of the received fu��ds to specific projects. This included a presentation by DeAnn Biss, Executive Director of the Tib�n�on Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (COC). As part of the presentation_ it was proposed that a Tasl< Force be formed to study and develop short- and lon�-term stratebies to improve the business environi��ent in Tib�u�on. The fii�al compositioi� of a tasl< force has ��ot been deteri��ined. howevei�, the COC is worl<i��g to schedule ai� initial meeti��g of a �-vorl<ing broup to more fully develop the idea and has requested the Tow�� Coui�cil a}�poii�t 1-2 councilmembers to attend this meetin�.
