Town Mai�aber Chanis said the Council had recei�tly heard a presei�tation by the Tiburon
Peninsula Chamber of Coi��merce and directed stafif to schedule an item for the Council to
appoi»t members to a Cha���ber of Commerce tasl< force to assist Tibin•oi� local businesses
thi-ough the cu�•rent pandemic and through lon��-term recovery.
DeAnn Biss, Executive Director of the Tiburon Peninsula Chambei-of Commerce, said the
Chambe�•taslc force will ii�clude herself and one other Chamber of Comi��erce boai-d member,
Town Manager Greg Chanis, one represei�taCive fi�om Destination Tiburon, two retail
representatives, and a proposed two members fi-om the Town Coui�cil. She said she had already
worked with both Co�u�cilme���bers K�ilil: and Ryan and thought they would be a good fit.
Ms. Biss added the Chai��ber is launchin� a local iiu�d-raisinb campaibn to give funds directly
two local businesses.
Mayor Fredel•icks ope��ed the floor for public comment. 'There wa� i�one.
Mayor Fredericks said she would lilce to see the tasl< force identifi� its mission, goals, tools, and
timeline to minimize the disastrous in�pact of�the current health crisis on Iocal businesses a»d
position them for long-haul recove�y. She asl<ed the worl<ii�g group to report bacl<to the Council.
� She nominated Councilmember l{ulil<to serve on the tasl< force.
Co�u�cil»>e»�bers K�ililc and Ryan both agreed the tasl< force was a good idea and volunteered to
serve.
Colincili��ember Welner and Vice Mayor Thier also supported the tasl< foi•ce and the »ominations
of Council»�ei��bers Kulil< and Ryai�.
Welner requested an ai��endment to Mayor Fi�edericl<s' i��otion to also nominate Cou��cil»�ember
Ryan with CoLincilmei��ber 1<��lil<.
MOTION: To appoint David Kulil< and Jacl: R��an to the taslc iorce.

Thiei-gave the Cow�cil a brief update on fund raisii��� etforts ��.ith the County and hoped
additional f�mds for Tibiu-on businesses ���oulcl become available throu<rh that so�irce as well.
