Town Council Resolution No. 43-2021 10/20/2021
RESOLUTION NO. 43-2021 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 22 2014 AND ADOPTING THE MCKEGNEY GREEN FIELD USE POLICY
WHEREAS, the Town Council recognizes the need to update the adopted policy addressing the use and management of McKegney Green, the only large Town-controlled grass playing field on the Tiburon peninsula; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2014, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 22-014 establishing
the McKegney Green Field Use Policy; and WHEREAS, the Parks, Open Space & Trails Commission deliberated on potential updates to the existing policy at public meetings held on May 5, 2021, July 6, 2021, and September 21, 2021 and
has recommended adoption of the Policy to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council held a public meeting on this matter on October 6, 2021, at which it heard and considered any public testimony and correspondence; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council provided feedback to staff and directed staff to place the item
on the October 20, 2021 for consideration; and WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the policy is consistent with the goals and policies of the Tiburon General Plan and with other applicable regulations of the Town of Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that adoption of the policy is not a project and is exempt from provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon does
hereby rescind Resolution 22-014 and adopt the McKegney Green Field Use Policy dated October 20,
2021. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon on October 20, 2021, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Fredericks, Ryan, Thier, Welner NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: One Vacant Seat
