RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
TOWN ENGINEER STAN BALA
FOR 23 YEARS OF OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
WHEREAS, in 1971 Stan Bala of Bala & Strandgaard Engineers was appointed
Tiburon City Engineer and Jesper Strandgaard was appointed Deputy City Engineer, and
WHEREAS, as Tiburon's Town Engineer Stan Bala always took a pro-active role in
acquiring millions of dollars in federal, state and local grants to finance various community
improvements, and
WHEREAS, Stan was solely responsible for acquiring the necessary financing and
providing the design and engineering for the outstanding Downtown Tiburon Boulevard
Improvements, and
WHEREAS, Town Engineer Stan Bala was untiring in his efforts on behalf of the
Town, and has demonstrated thoroughness, patience, expertise and professional integrity
in the performance of his duties,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council, on behalf of the
citizens of Tiburon, expresses their sincere appreciation to Stan Bala for twenty-three (23)
years of dedicated service to the Town and Tiburon community, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council declares November 18, 1994
as "Stan Bala Day" and a day of community celebration.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon on November 16, 1994 by the following vote:
