RESOLUTION NO. 3050
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE "OLD LANDING ROAD REORGANIZATION"
WHEREAS, the Town of Tiburon desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the
Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, commencing with Section
56000 of the California Government Code, for annexation to the Town of Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, notice of intention to adopt this resolution of application has been
given to each interested and subject agency; and
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited by more than 12
registered voters, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the Sphere of Influence of the Town
of Tiburon; and

WHEREAS, the territory within the boundaries set forth in Exhibit "A" has been
prezoned as set forth in Town Council Ordinance No. 406 N.S. and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation has been determined to be categorically
exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act as specified in
Section 15319 of the CEQA Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for the proposed annexation are that the area is adjacent
to the Town limits; municipal services can be provided effectively and economically by
the Town; annexation to the Town of Tiburon and to Corte Madera Sanitary District
No.2 will permit proceedings for a Sewer Assessment District providing sanitary sewer
services to residents in the annexation area; and the annexation is consistent with the
Tiburon General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution of Application is
hereby adopted and approved by the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon, and that the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Marin County is hereby requested to undertake
proceedings for the reorganization of the territory as described in the attached Exhibit
"A", in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act
of 1985.

the northerly right-of-way line of Paradise Drive, thence leaving
said Limit Line along said northerly right-of-way line North 730
