RESOLUTION NO. 3048
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER AS
"SCHOOL'S OPEN - DRIVE CAREFULLY" MONTH
WHEREAS, once again, it is that time of year when millions of children and
young adults from throughout California will be returning to their studies at grade
~hools and high schools in our state; and
WHEREAS, on streets and roads in every community these students will be
walking, riding bicycles and traveling in buses from home to school and back again,
and it is important all citizens take extra precaution to drive carefully and observe
proper rules of the road, and
WHEREAS, to encourage motorists to drive safety during this period, the
California State Automobile Association is once again coordinating a "School's Open
.Drive Carefully" campaign to alert all California drivers to be aware that a new
school year is upon us,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town
of Tiburon that September is proclaimed to be "School's Open . Drive Carefully"
Month and the Council urges all motorists to keep a watchful eye out for children
and young adults who will be returning to school during this time of year.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Tiburon on Aueust 17, 1994 by the following vote:
