Subject: Library Program re Mark di Suvero @ Crissy Field
2015 Greetings to the Tiburon Town Council!
You may already be aware of this from The Ark or from the Library's own schedule of programs, but just in
case ...
I wanted to make sure that everyone on the Town Council knows about this program, given that you have
kindly agreed to consider the Huru loan offer at a future meeting. I hope to see you there next week. Thank
you & wishing all a fabulous New Year!
Big, Bold, and Beautiful: Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field
Tue Jan 13 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Founders Room
Wendy Portnuff, SF MOMA Docent
Working primarily in steel beams and plates, di Suvero creates monumental sculptures that convey a sense of
lightness and movement. This conversation explores the artist's personal connections to San Francisco and the
Golden Gate Bridge. The talk features a video of the artist discussing his Bay Area background and touches on his
contributions to public art across the region.

TOWN OF TIBUROlV
I believe my four-year appointment to the Tiburon Heritage & Arts Commission ends on
February 28, 2015. At that time I will have served on the Commission for eight years
and feel that it will be time for me to step down to make room for someone new.
It has been an honor and a true pleasure for me to have been able to serve our community
as an H&A Commissioner. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time spent both with the
people serving as Commissioners and meeting the various people we have dealt with
while engaging in the artist exhibitions, art festivals, Heritage Preservations Awards,
music at old St. Hilary's, etc. I will miss it but all good things must come to an end and I
have several paths I now want to follow.
I will be out of town when the Commission meets the end of February, but wanted you to
have time to start the search for a new Commissioner.
Sincerely,
.p1.ol.L.
