HomeMy WebLinkAboutTC Res 1994-03-16 (2) RESOLUTION NO. 3006 l A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE OF THE HIGHLANDS HOUSING SITE WHEREAS, the Town of Tiburon owns a three acre site in the Highlands development which pursuant to the dedication of the property may be used for the construction of low and moderate income housing for senior citizens; and WHEREAS, on January 5, 1994, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 2986, authorizing sale of the property to the Tiburon Redevelopment Agency with the maximum density of the project limited to 8-12 units of low and moderate income seniors housing; and WHEREAS, the Town Council has subsequently determined that with the consent of the Bel Air neighborhood, the property may be developed with up to 16 units subject to certain conditions, including the selection of the Ecumenical Association for Housing as the developer. t- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon that the Town agrees to sell the Highlands housing site to the Tiburon Redevelopment Agency subject to the terms and conditions ofthe Purchase and Sale Agreement attached to this resolution and incorporated herein. The sales price for the property shall be $560,000. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Purchase and Sale Agreement on behalf of the Town. Proceeds of the sale shall be credited to the Town's General Fund designated reserves.
