RESOLUTION NO. 2843
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON DECLARING
APRIL FAIR HOUSING MONTH
WHEREAS, the principle orrair housing is not only national law and national policy
but a fundamental human concept and entitlement for all citizens, and
WHEREAS, discrimination based O!J race, religion, national origin, sex, marital
status, disability, sexual orientation, and exclusion of minor children is illegal in California,
and
WHEREAS, as a community we welcome all good neighbors, recognlZmg the
contributions and richness tendered by a wide variety of young and old male and female,
people of all colors and ethnic backgrounds, religious traditions, etc., and
WHEREAS, April is designated Fair Housing Month this year and marks the 24th
anniversary of the signing ?f the National Fair Housing Law of 1968;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon does hereby designate the month of April 1992 to be FAIR HOUSING MONTH in
the Town of Tiburon and urge all residents of our community to personally adopt the spirit
of equal housing opportunity and to adhere to the letter and the spirit of the Fair Housing
laws whenever applicable.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council ofthe Town of
Tiburon on March 17. 1992 by the following vote:
