RESOLUTION NO. 2847
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF TIBURON COMMENDING THE
AMERICAN RED CROSS AND RECOGNIZING THE
MONTH OF MARCH AS AMERICAN RED CROSS MONTH
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross has been active in Marin County as the
preeminent volunteer disaster response program in Marin County since 1912, and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Red Cross has been successful and important
to the Town of Tiburon by caring for our disaster victims; training our citizens in
disaster response; training and teaching community members at home and work
CPR and First Aid, and developing Youth Leadership while preparing them to
volunteer in the community, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wants to acknowledge the services of the
American Red Cross, express gratitude for its thousands of volunteers, give a formal
thank you for extensive disaster preparedness and responses, and express the
support and encouragement of the Town of Tiburon,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town
of Tiburon commends the Marin County American Red Cross and designates the
month of March 1992 as American Red Cross month in recognition of past and
future work.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Tiburon on March 17. 1992, by the following vote:
