A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING
CROWLEY MARITIME CORPORATION
ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ~

WHEREAS, in 1892, Thomas Crowley began ferrying supplies and sailors to
and from ships at anchor in San Francisco Bay using a Whitehall rowboat, and
WHEREAS, in 1906, Crowley Launch & Tugboat Company was established
with the motto: "Anything, Anywhere, Anytime on Water", and
WHEREAS, Crowley Maritime Corporation consists of two major operating
units .- Crowley American Transport, Inc. and Crowley Maritime Services, Inc., and
WHEREAS, as part of Crowley Maritime Services, Inc., the Red & White
Fleet provides ferry service for commuters and excursion cruises on San Francisco
Bay.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town
of Tiburon does hereby publicly recognize and congratulate the Crowley Maritime
Corporation on the occasion of their 100 Year Anniversary of outstanding marine
transportation services to the San Francisco Bay area, and throughout the world,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council expresses its sincere
appreciation to Crowley Maritime Services' Red & White Fleet for their many years
of dedicated community ferry service and mid-day business service to the Tiburon
Peninsula.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Tiburon on AUlmst 20, 1992, by the following vote:
