RESOLUTION NO. 12-2024
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON PROPOSING THAT AN ELECTION BE HELD IN ITS JURISDICTION, AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO CONSOLIDATE WITH ANY OTHER ELECTION CONDUCTED ON SAID DATE, AND REQUESTING ELECTION SERVICES BY THE MARIN COUNTY ELECTION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, it is the determination of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon to call a general municipal election on November 5, 2024 at which election the issue to be presented to the voters shall be:
To elect members to the Town Council
Number of Regular Term (4 years) Positions = 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin is hereby requested to:
1) Consolidate said elections with any other applicable election conducted on the
same day, in accordance with Elections Code Section 10418; and 2) Authorize and direct the Elections Department at District expense, to provide all necessary election services and to canvass the results of said election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to file
a copy of this resolution with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon on June 5, 2024, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Fredericks, Nikfar, Ryan, Thier, Welner NAYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
