RESOLUTION NO. 37-2024
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON
APPOINTING DIRECTORS AND ALTERNATE DIRECTORS TO THE POOLED
LIABILITY ASSURANCE NETWORK JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY (PLAN JPA)
AND THE BAY CITIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY (BCJPIA)
WHEREAS, the Town of Tiburon is a member of the Pooled Liability Assurance Network Joint
Powers Authority (PLAN JPA) and the Bay Cities Joint Powers Insurance Authority (BCJPIA);
and
WHEREAS, PLAN JPA and BCJPIA are insurance pools serving public agencies; and
WHEREAS, the operations of these programs are governed by Boards of Directors consisting of
one representative from each member agency; and
WHEREAS, participation on the Board of Directors is carried out by Town of Tiburon staff as
part of its regular duties and does not result in any renumeration to the employee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
hereby designates the following positions as appointees to both the PLAN JPA Board of
Directors, and the Bay Cities Joint Powers Insurance Authority Board of Directors, effective
November 1, 2024:
Town Clerk, or their successor, Board Member
Town Manager, or their successor, Board Alternate
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
this 6th day of November, 2024, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Fredericks, Nikfar, Ryan, Thier, Welner
NAYS: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
