Members of the public were invited to participate in the meeting by live streaming the meeting on the Town’s website and submitting comments to comments@townoftiburon.org to be included in the public record for the meeting. MEETING – 5:30 P.M. Chair Noguez called the special meeting of the Tiburon Town Council to order at 5:36 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. ROLL CALL PRESENT: COMMISSION MEMBERS: Noguez, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers ABSENT: COMMISSION MEMBERS: ETEMAD, FERRIN PRESENT: EX OFFICIO: Liaison to H&A Commission – Patti Pickett ORAL COMMUNICATIONS None CONSENT CALENDAR H&A March 28 – Tentative Action Minutes H&A April 26 – Tentative Action Minutes Motion: To approve minutes of both meetings with changes (April 26 - Spelling and complete names in vote process) Moved: Fong 2nd: Gupta All in favor: Noguez, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers ACTION ITEMS AI-1 Receive report from ad hoc committee (Fong, Gupta) on suggested wording to support public art in the Town of Tiburon, submittal for inclusion in the new General Plan 2040 and consider approval. Motion: To approve Tiburon General Plan 2040 (H&A Commission draft by Fong & Gupta 5/2022) Moved: Mujica-Beavers 2nd: Etemad Page 2 of 2 Heritage & Arts Commission Minutes May 24, 2022 All in favor: Noguez, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers AI-2 Receive update from ad hoc committee (Etemad, Fong, Mujica-Beavers) on Artist Laureate position and applications. Consider approval of Timeline date changes. Motion: To approve the Timeline for Artist Laureate application with date changes and to request another Public Service Announcement be placed in the Ark newspaper. Moved: Fong 2nd: Etemad All in favor: Noguez, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers AI-3 Staff report: Receive updated budget report, discuss avenues of using remaining funds in the General Fund, and consider approval of suggestions. Motion: To approve the FY22-23 General Operating Fund of $3500 as presented. 2nd: Fong All in favor: Noguez, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers DISCUSSION ITEMS DI-1 Discuss process of gallery artist research and selection process, exhibition process, and consider changes/alternatives. DI-2 Discuss fundraising ideas for approved public art projects. DI-3 Receive report from ad hoc committee (Fong, Gupta, Mujica-Beavers) regarding the Public Art Selection Panel (PASP) Thomas Jackson proposal. DI-4 Receive update report on Dairy Mural Project. CALENDAR DATES June 14 – Tuesday – 5:30PM - Public Art Selection Panel Special Meeting June 19 – Sunday – 4PM - Concert – Old Saint Hilary June 28 – Tuesday – 5:30PM - H&A Commission Regular Meeting June 28 – Date did not work – June 8 was a proposed alternative to be confirmed.
