HERITAGE & ARTS COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING – AUGUST 23, 2022
TENTATIVE MINUTES Consistent with Executive Orders No. N-25-20 and N-29-20 from the Executive Department of the State of California and the County Public Health Department’s May 18, 2020, Shelter-in-Place Order, commission members attended this meeting by teleconference. Members of the public were invited to participate in the
meeting by live streaming the meeting on the Town’s website and submitting comments to
comments@townoftiburon.org to be included in the public record for the meeting. MEETING – 5:30 P.M.
Chair Noguez called the meeting of the Heritage & Arts Commission to order at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 23, 2022. ROLL CALL

ELECTION OF H&A CHAIR Motion: To move H&A Chair Election process from last item on agenda to the top before action items.

ACTION ITEMS AI-1 Receive report from ad hoc committee on Thomas Jackson proposal and consider approval of sending
the proposal on to the Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission (POST) for review and comment.
Item moved to special meeting – date to be determined.
AI-2 Receive Staff Report on resident request for a memorial tree planting and adjacent plaque. Consider
appointment of one or more commissioners to work with Public Works and/or POST on the request, and/or consider approval to send request to Town Council for consideration.
Motion: To appoint an ad-hoc committee to work with Public Works on researching background on the
memorial request, tree location, etc. and report back to commission at next regular meeting.
