HERITAGE & ARTS COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 27, 2022
TENTATIVE MINUTES Consistent with Executive Orders No. N-25-20 and N-29-20 from the Executive Department of the State of California and the County Public Health Department’s May 18, 2020, Shelter-in-Place Order, commission members attended this meeting by teleconference. Members of the public were invited to participate in the
meeting by live streaming the meeting on the Town’s website and submitting comments to
comments@townoftiburon.org to be included in the public record for the meeting. MEETING – 5:30 P.M.
Chair Etemad called the meeting of the Heritage & Arts Commission to order at 5:32 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 27, 2022. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: COMMISSION MEMBERS: Etemad, Ferrin, Fong, Gupta, Hall, Mujica Beavers, Noguez

CONSENT CALENDAR H&A Tentative Action Minutes
August 23, 2022 September 1, 2022 Motion: To approve all items on the consent calendar with the addition of the following change on Minutes
for Sept. 1, 2022 – AI-2:
Add – “and outreach” to the Approval of expenditures. Moved: Noguez 2nd: Mujica-Beavers
All in favor: Unanimous
ACTION ITEMS
AI-1 Receive staff report and update from ad hoc committee on Thomas Jackson proposal and the POST
meeting that took place Sept. 20. Consider approval of sending the proposal on to Town Council.

Motion: To approve sending the proposal as it appears in (Exhibit 1) on to the Town Council for consideration.
Moved: Mujica-Beavers 2nd: Fong All in favor: Unanimous
AI-2 Receive staff report and update from ad hoc committee on resident request for a memorial tree
planting and adjacent plaque. Consider approval of sending a proposal on to Town Council.
Motion: To approve the tree planting to commemorate Ellie Bloch while recognizing the ordinance against
plaques and encourage the Town to develop other means of publicizing and remembering loved ones
commemorated in such living memorials.
Moved: Gupta 2nd: Fong
All in favor: Unanimous
AI-3 Receive staff update on Town Hall opening to the public and consider approval of an ad hoc to work
on Gallery Opening and artist outreach.
An ad-hoc of commissioners Etemad, Ferrin and Gupta was formed to prepare a plan for the Town Hall Gallery opening and artist outreach.
DISCUSSION ITEMS DI-1 Receive update on Dairy Mural and the Groundbreaking Ceremony to be held Wednesday, Sept. 28
DI-2 Discuss the “Call for Artists” project for future gallery showings. An ad-hoc of commissioners Etemad, Gupta and Noguez was formed to work on the Call for Artists project for future gallery showings.
