RESOLUTION NO. 2978
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON ORDERING AND CALLING A
MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE TOWN OF TIBURON
ON April 12, 1994 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ELECTING THREE COUNCILMEMBERS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon, that
it is hereby ordered as fo~lows:
Section 1. Date of Election - Offices to be Filled.
A general municipal election is hereby called and ordered to be held
in the Town of Tiburon, State of California, on Tuesday, April 12, 1994, for
the purpose of electing three Town Councilmembers, the terms of the
incumbents of which are about to expire.
Section 2. Rellistration to Close March 14. 1994.
Registration for said election shall close on March 14, 1994; no
persons registered after that date will be entitled to vote at said election.

Section 3. Procurine and Filine Nomination PaDers.
Nomination papers may be procured from the Town Clerk and shall
be filed with the Town Clerk no later than 5:00 P.M. of the eighty-eight day
before the election. Nomination papers may not be circulated prior to
December 20,1994 and must be filed no later than 5:00 P.M. on January 14,
1994. If an incumbent does not file for re-election to office by January 14,
1994,5:00 P.M., the filing period for such office is extended until January 19,
1994, 5:00 P.M., for non-incumbent candidates only.
Section 4. Town Clerk's Assistants.
The Town Clerk shall procure all supplies and employ such assistants
as may be necessary to properly and lawfully conduct said election.
Section 5. Time When Polls Are Keot Ooen.

At said election the polls shall be opened at 7:00 A.M. of the day of
said election, and shall be kept open until 8:00 P.M. in the evening of the
same day, when the polls shall be closed, subject to the provisions of Section
. 22903 of the Election Code.

Section 6. Canvass of Ballots by Council.
The Council shall meet at its usual place of meeting on the tirst
Tuesday next succeeding said election to canvass the returns and install newly
elected officers.
Section 7. Publishim! Notice of Election.
The Town Clerk shall cause to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation a Notice of Election which will include the date of election, hours
the polls open and close and the offices to be tilled.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Tiburon on December 1, 1993 by the following vote:
