A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON ESTABLISIDNG
AN APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998/99
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII B. OF THE CONSTITUTION
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Article XllI B. of the Constitution of the State of California provides that total annual
appropriations subject to exceed the appropriations limit of such entity of government for the prior year
adjusted for changes in the cost ofliving and population, except as provided for in Article XllI B; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XllI B. of the Constitution of the State of California, the Town
COWlcil of the Town ofTiburon deems it to be in the best interests of the Town of Tiburon to establish an
appropriations limit for the Fiscal Year 1998/99; and
WHEREAS, the previously established lititit for Fiscal Year 1997/98 was $3,636,718, and the State
Department of Finance has determined that the 1998 Per Capita Personal Income Factor is 4.15%, and the
1998 Population Change Factor is 1.56%; the Finance Director estimates that legislated pass-through fees of
the COWlty will be $26,000; the Finance Director of the Town of Tiburon has determined that the an
appropriations limit in the amoWlt of $3,872,729 shall be established for Fiscal Year 1998/99.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town COWlcil of the Town ofTiburon that an
appropriations limit in the amoWlt of $3,872,729 is established for Fiscal Year 1998/99 pursuant to Article
XllI B. of the Constitution of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town COWlcil of the Town of Tiburon on
May 20, 1998, by the following vote:
