RESOLUTION NO. 3272
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TlliURON
DECLARING THE NEW TOWN HALL
AS THE ALTERNATE POLICE OPERATIONS BUILDING
WHEREAS, the present Police Operations Building at 1155 Tiburon Boulevard is
structurally deteriorated and vulnerable to failure by seismic, wind or fire damage; and
WHEREAS, the replacement Police Building is under design but will not be available for
police operations for an extended period of time; and
WHEREAS, the Tiburon Peninsula Disaster Plan currently designates the Tiburon Police
facility as the alternate Emergency Operations Center; and
WHEREAS, the new Town Hall at 1505 Tiburon Boulevard could accommodate the
police operations on an emergency basis without structural change and with only minor
modifications to the communications facilities and the addition of already planned stand-by power;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
r' Tiburon does hereby designate the new Town Hall building at 1505 Tiburon Boulevard as the
emergency alternate Police Operations Building; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council directs that those necessary
modifications be made to the new Town Hall building to facilitate continued police operations
should circumstances dictate the movement from the present Police Operations site.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tiburon Town Council on
March 18, 1998, by the following vote:
