RESOLUTION NO. 311.
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON COMMENDING
SAM'S ANCHOR CAFE
UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS 75TH ANNIVERSARY
AUGUST 17.1995
WHEREAS, Since 1920, Sam's Anchor Cafe has served the Tiburon
Community, the residents of Marin and guests from around the world and,
WHEREAS, Sam's Anchor Cafe, with its outstanding seafood, waterfront deck
and relaxed atmosphere, is recognized worldwide as "the place" in the Bay Area to eat,
drink, and enjoy the spectacular view, and
WHEREAS, although having not physically changed over these many years,
Sam's Anchor Cafe continues to be Tiburon's Number One downtown destination
because of its excellent food, service and ambiance, and
WHEREAS, since 1978, those most responsible for Sam's Anchor Cafe's
success have been the outstanding restauranteurs, Steve Sears and Brian Wilson, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon does hereby publicly recognize and extend its appreciation to Sam's Anchor
Cafe upon the occasion of its 75th Anniversary, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town ofTiburon
hereby declares August 17, 1995 as Sam's Anchor Cafe Day in Tiburon,
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Tiburon on August 16, 1995 by the following vote:
