RESOLUTION NO. 26-2025
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON DESIGNATING CHRISTA GRENAWALT AS THE TOWN OF TIBURON’S ARTIST LAUREATE WHEREAS, on September 5, 2001, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 49-2001,
establishing the position of Artist Laureate; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Artist Laureate is to bring understanding and appreciation for art to the community, to work with the Heritage & Arts Commission, to provide art services for the Town, and to complete a personal capstone project; and
WHEREAS, Christa Grenawalt was chosen by the 2025 Special Selection Committee to be recommended for Tiburon Artist Laureate filling the vacancy left by Richard Rozen. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
does hereby appoint Christa Grenawalt as Tiburon’s Artist Laureate for a four-year term,
beginning in August 2025. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon on August 6, 2025, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Fredericks, Nikfar, Ryan, Thier, Welner NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
