RESOLUTION NO. 3107
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TmURON CONGRATULATING
ROCKDALE, AUSTRALIA UPON ACHIEVING "CITY STATUS"
WHEREAS, Rockdale is located upon historic Botany Bay, within the metropolitan
area of Sydney, Australia, and
WHEREAS, Rockdale reflects a cosmopolitan mix of residential, commercial and
industrial activity with a population of approximately 90,000, and
WHEREAS, Rockdale represents a well-governed and managed public entity whose
dignitaries have recently honored Tiburon and the San Francisco Bay Area with a visit which
demonstrated their outstanding friendship and cooperative spirit,
WHEREAS, the citizens of the Town ofTiburon, located on the Northern shore of San
Francisco Bay, extend their sincere good wishes across the Pacific Ocean to the City of
Rockdale,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon hereby commends and congratulates Rockdale, Australia upon the occasion of
achieving "City" status.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon on July 19, 1995 by the following vote:
