A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
Commending Tarun Sanghvi on the Occasion
of his Retirement from the Town of Tiburon
WHEREAS, Tarun Sanghvi began work for the Town of Tiburon in 1991, toiling in the dark and
dreary archives of the old Town Hall building on Ned's Way before moving to the well -lit and
modem new Town Hall in 1997; and
WHEREAS, over the years Tarun assumed progressively more responsible duties, serving as
Records Management Coordinator/Assistant to the Building Official and as Building Permit
Technician for the past 15 years as a permanent full-time Town employee; and
WHEREAS, Tarun has served the Town with distinction for over 24 years in various capacities,
demonstrating tireless energy, dedication, thoroughness, an incomparable work ethic and a
strong desire to never stop learning and improving his versatility and many skills; and
WHEREAS, Tarun has honed his skills as a records manager extraordinaire, managing mountains
of files and construction drawings by creating and maintaining databases and digital record-
keeping systems at a level unparalleled by prior employees, all to the benefit of the Town and its
citizens; and
WHEREAS, Tarun used his considerable professional expertise in architecture and building
processes to assist thousands of residents, homeowners, builders, engineers and designers over
the course of many years of public counter, telephone, and e-mail interactions regarding permits
and resale reports; and
WHEREAS, Tarun has been a cherished co-worker and an extraordinarily welcome presence in
Town Hall who has continually inspired his Town Hall colleagues and left an indelible mark on
the Tiburon Building Division; and
WHEREAS, Tarun has announced his retirement from the Town in order to pursue other
endeavors such as travel, spending time with his extended family and fulfilling his role as
revered patriarch of the Sanghvi family, for which we extend him our best wishes.
Now THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON, on behalf of all its
citizens, does hereby commend, congratulate and sincerely thank Tarun Sanghvi for his many
years of exceptional service to the Town of Tiburon on the occasion of his retirement.
Passed and Adopted at the Town Council meeting on July 1, 2015, by the following vote:
