RESOLUTION NO. 3243
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TlBURON HONORING TERRY KOENIG
AS TlBURON PENINSULA 1997 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Terry Koenig has logged over 27 years of experience in the Tour, Travel, and Maritime
industries, and in the last 17 years, has brought his innovative ideas, concepts, and support to Crowley
MaritimeIRed & White Fleet, and
WHEREAS, his marketing efforts were instrumental In bringing hlgh,speed catamaran service to
Tiburon thereby affording Tiburon commuters the fast, pleasant ride to San Francisco that they now enjoy,
and
WHEREAS, Koenig developed those special-event and dinner cruises that now frequently bring
tourists to Tiburon to enjoy the restaurants, shops and history of our town, and
WHEREAS. he has served as a former President and current Director of the California Travel
Industry Association, member of the Board of Directors of numerous other California Chambers of
Commerce and Visitors Bureaus, and is currently serving a third term on the Marin County Visitor Services
Committee, and
WHEREAS, Terry has worked tirelessly for the good of Tiburon's downtown area, both by
encouraging tourism to the Town through the ferry tours, as well as through his work on the Tiburon
Waterfront Committee, the Downtown Tiburon Revitalization Task Force, and in his capacity as one of the
Directors of the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that on September 17, 1997, the Town COllncil of the
Town of Tiburon does hereby publicly commend and gratefully acknowledge Terry Koenig for 17 years of
service to the Town of Tiburon, its people and its business community, and
\BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that with respect and appreciation the Town Council of the Tov.TI
of Tiburon does hereby honor Terry Koel1lg as Clti/en of the Year for 1997
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of tile Town Council of the Town of Tiburon held
on September 17,1997, by the following vote:
