A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TmURON ESTABLISHING
AN APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997/98
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE xm B. OF THE CONSTITUTION
OFTHESTATEOFCAL~ORNIA
WHEREAS, Article XIII B. of the Constitution of the State of California provides that
total annual appropriations subject to exceed the appropriations limit of such entity of government
for the prior year adjusted for changes in the cost ofliving and population, except as provided for
in Article XIII B; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIII B. of the Constitution of the State of California, the
Town Council of the Town ofTiburon deems it to be in the best interests of the Town ofTiburon
to establish an appropriations limit for the Fiscal Year 1997-98; and

WHEREAS, the previously established limit for Fiscal Year 1996-97 was $3,386,902, and
the State Department of Finance has determined that the 1997 Per Capita Personal Income Factor
is 4.67%, and the 1997 Population Change Factor is 1.88%; the Finance Director estimates that
legislated pass-through fees of the County will be $25,000; the Finance Director of the Town of
Tiburon has determined that the an appropriations limit in the amount of$3,636,718 shall be
established for Fiscal Year 1997-98.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town ofTiburon
that an appropriations limit in the amount of$3,636,718 is established for Fiscal Year 1997-98
pursuant to Article XIII B. of the Constitution of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon on June 4, 1997 by the following vote:
