A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TffiURON
ORDERING AND CALLING A MUNICIPAL ELECTION
IN THE TOWN OF TffiURON
ON NOVEMBER 8, 2005 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ELECTING THREE COUNCILMEMBERS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon, that it is
hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Date of Election - Offices to be Filled.
A general municipal election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the
Town of Tiburon, State of California, on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, for the
purpose of electing three Town Councilmembers, the terms of the incumbents of
which are about to expire.
Section 2. Re~stration to Close October 24. 2005.

Registration for said election shall close on October 24, 2005; no persons
registered after that date will be entitled to vote at said election.
Section 3. Procuring and Filin!! Nomination Papers.
Nomination papers may be procured from the Town Clerk and shall be filed
with the Town Clerk no later than the close of business (in this instance, 12:00 P.M.)
of the eighty-eighth day before the election. Nomination papers may not be
circulated prior to Monday, July 18, 2005, and must be filed no later than 12:00 P.M.
on Friday, August 12, 2005.
If anyone of the incumbents does not file for re-election to office by 12:00
P.M. on Friday, August 12, 2005, the filing period for such office is extended until
August 17,2003, at 5:00 P.M., for non-incumbent candidates only.
Section 4. Time When Polls Are Kept Coen.
At said election the polls shall be opened at 7:00 A.M. of the day of said
election, and shall be kept open until 8:00 P.M. in the evening of the same day, when
the polls shall be closed, subject to the provisions of Section 10242 of the Elections
Code.

Section 5. Certification of Vote by Council.
The Council shall meet at its usual meeting place on the first available date
following the canvass of the vote by the County Registrar of Voters to certilY the
election and install the newly elected officers. The official date of assuming office
shall be December 2, 2005.
Section 6. Publishing Notice of Election.
The Town Clerk shall cause to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation a Notice of Election which will include the date of election, hours the
polls open and close and the offices to be filled.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Tiburon on June 1,2005, by the following vote:
