RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON
RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING ALEX D. McINTYRE
FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE TOWN OF TffiURON
WHEREAS, Tiburon Town Manager Alex McIntyre has served the Town since
September 25, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Alex had the dubious pleasure of following in the footsteps of a heavily
tenured manager with 30 years of service to the Tiburon community; and
WHEREAS, Alex successfully made the transition from "new guy on the block" to
respected leader in his own right, bringing vision and a passion for constructive change to the
position;
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Alex undertook and managed unique and difficult
challenges such as negotiating with the Marin Emergency Radio Authority for the placement of a
emergency radio antenna in Tiburon;
WHEREAS, Alex is most proud of his commitment to the Town's image in the
community, and he worked closely with members of the merchant community toward this end,
as well with the Town's staff to enhance and build its customer service program; and

WHEREAS, Alex either chaired or served on the committees of numerous state and local
government JPA's, such as the Association of Bay Area Governments, the Marin Managers'
Association, and further served the Town through his participation with the League of California
Cities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon hereby recognizes Alex McIntyre for his distinguished service to the Town ofTiburon
over the last five and a half years,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council commends Alex McIntyre for his
dedication and stewardship, and wishes him all the best in his new position with the Countyof
Marin.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tiburon Town Council on March
15,2006, by the following vote:
